Happy Customers August

Hi! How your holidays is going? I spent few days in Italy and finally I felt the typical hot weather of August.
Besides, I received a lot of pictures from my beloved customers and I'm very happy!

Inoltre ho ricevuto tante foto dai miei amatissimi clienti e ne sono davvero felice!

New Portrait by Maqaroon

I wrote a post about the award-winning manga illustrator Joanna Zhou and her cool brand Maqaroon just a couple of months ago and now I want to show you the magnificent portrait that Joanna has drawn for Fedulab. Yes, that's me with my curly red hair, my handmade dress and a lot of paws brooches on my cardigan (she also defined me a mori girl hihih).

Un paio di mesi fa vi avevo parlato della bravissima illustratrice manga Joanna Zhou e del suo marchio kawaii Maqaroon. Oggi torno a parlare di lei perché ho avuto l'onore di essere trasformata in un suo personaggio e di entrar a far parte della sua galleria di bloggers, tra cui Hawaii kawaii, Tokyo Bunnie e Milk Overdose. 

Adoro il disegno che ha creato perché mi rappresenta perfettamente nello stile Mori (ad esempio le spille a forma di zampa sul mio solito cardigan).

Inoltre non posso che commentare positivamente i bellissimi portachiavi che ha appena pubblicato nel suo negozio online. Tra tutti preferisco la bambolina Yukata koala e la tenera kigurumin Hamster ;)

We love dogs

Se mi seguite da un po' ormai saprete il mio debole per gli animali domestici in particolare per i cani e gatti. 

La settimana scorsa ho realizzato per la bella Eli una borsa a tracolla a tema canino con chiusura a zip. Mi è stato richiesto appositamente di applicare sul fronte della borsa una zampa di cane e una frase: "Più persone conosco più apprezzo il mio cane". 

Detto fatto e sapendo che il verde è il suo colore preferito ho usato una stoffa quadrettata di quel colore e vi ho così applicato sia la zampa che la scritta (dipinta a mano). 

Ecco il risultato! Inutile dirvi che Eli ha apprezzato moltissimo la tracolla e per questo mi ha inviato una foto  in compagnia del suo amatissimo Braulio (un giovane King Cavalier). 

Il giorno che ho finito la sua borsa mi sono lasciata ispirare da un'altra stoffa a tema canino che era da un po' di tempo che girava nel mio laboratorio e così ho dato vita anche alla borsa tracolla con zip "Party Dogs", acquistabile nel negozio online http://fedulab.bigcartel.com 

If you are a Fedulab-goer you know very well I am keen on pets (mainly dogs and cats). 

Last week I made a custom doggy zipper messenger bag on Elisabetta's request. She wanted to apply on the front of the bag a dog's paw and a sentence: "More people I know, more I appreciate my dog​​." 

Here you are! I knew that green is her favorite color so I used a checkered cloth of this color and I applied the paw and the sentence (hand painted) on the front of the bag.

Eli has appreciated her new bag and she has sent me this picture with her beloved Braulio (a King Cavalier). The day I've finished her bag I was inspired enough to create another bag and few days later this messenger bag was ready: "Dog Party" available in the online store.

Hares, Paws and me

Da oggi sono tornate disponibili le spille Hare e Paws. 

La spilla Hare ha tinte delicate ed è molto vanitosa del proprio codino lilla a pon pon, mentre le spille Paws sono fatte per essere abbinate in più colori. Ho usato feltro colorato che sfuma dal color panna al marrone cioccolato. 

Ecco come le indosserei io, forse sono un po' esagerata ma sono troppo simpatiche.

Materiali usati: feltro colorato, imbottitura in poliestere, fili Aurifil e spille.

Handmade Hare and Paws felt brooches are back. 

The classy Hare brooch is very vain of its cute violet pon pon scut, while Paws brooches are made to be combined in multiple colors. I used colored felt that shades from cream to chocolate brown. 

Here's how I'd wear them, maybe I'm a bit 'excessive, but they're are too funny and pretty.

Con queste spille a forma di zampetta oggi chiudo il mio laboratorio. Rimarrò inattiva sicuramente fino all'inizio di agosto, ma continuerò ad aggiornare il blog con le ultime novità dal mondo creativo e tessile.

Nel frattempo sono in cantiere nuove grafiche per il sito e molte altre cosette interessanti, che spero si realizzeranno al più presto!

With these felt Paws brooches now I need to close my lab. Surely I will remain inactive until the beginning of August, but I will continue to feed the blog with the latest news from the creative textile world.

Meanwhile, new graphics for the site are in progress with many other interesting things that I hope will be realized as soon as possible!

Oggi ho realizzato queste simpatiche spille in pannolenci a forma di zampette. L'idea della forma spetta alla cara Elisabetta che mi ha informato del suo desiderio di regalare alle sue amiche delle spille a forma di zampa. Gli abbinamenti di colori che ho usato sono il rosa/bianco, ocra/marrone, marrone/rosa, bianco/rosa e bianco/marrone. Trovo che siano un ottimo regalo sia per gli amanti dei cani che dei gatti.
