How to bake...a zipper case

Good morning! Today I would like to submit an easy recipe to bake your zipper case.

Everybody is always in need of these kind of useful cases above all when you want to keep your stuff like medicines and cosmetics organized.

Keep it simple.

Prepare the dough of the cases with your favorite ingredients and place it in the oven.

Add a teaspoon of baking powder...and let it rise!

For example I've prepared three cases for Federica with Odoriko, Large rose and blue stripes fabrics. These cases are fully lined and interfaced so that they keep their shape.

Buongiorno! Oggi vorrei condividere con voi una veloce e utile ricetta per cucinare i vostri astucci.

Tutti hanno bisogno di questi indispensabili contenitori per tenere in ordine cosmetici, medicine e qualsiasi oggetto di piccole dimensioni.

Quindi rendiamoci la vita più semplice.

Preparate la pasta per gli astucci con i vostri ingredienti preferiti e adagiatela nel forno.

Aggiungete un cucchiaino di lievito in polvere e per magia la base lieviterà!

Per esempio ho appena finito un'ordine per Federica che ha scelto tre astucci in stoffa con i tessuti Odoriko, Large rose e un medical case. Gli astucci sono foderati e rinforzati per tenere la forma tridimensionale.

New Portrait by Maqaroon

I wrote a post about the award-winning manga illustrator Joanna Zhou and her cool brand Maqaroon just a couple of months ago and now I want to show you the magnificent portrait that Joanna has drawn for Fedulab. Yes, that's me with my curly red hair, my handmade dress and a lot of paws brooches on my cardigan (she also defined me a mori girl hihih).

Un paio di mesi fa vi avevo parlato della bravissima illustratrice manga Joanna Zhou e del suo marchio kawaii Maqaroon. Oggi torno a parlare di lei perché ho avuto l'onore di essere trasformata in un suo personaggio e di entrar a far parte della sua galleria di bloggers, tra cui Hawaii kawaii, Tokyo Bunnie e Milk Overdose. 

Adoro il disegno che ha creato perché mi rappresenta perfettamente nello stile Mori (ad esempio le spille a forma di zampa sul mio solito cardigan).

Inoltre non posso che commentare positivamente i bellissimi portachiavi che ha appena pubblicato nel suo negozio online. Tra tutti preferisco la bambolina Yukata koala e la tenera kigurumin Hamster ;)

Era da un po' che non aggiornavo più il blog e soprattutto da troppo tempo mancava un bel post dedicato alle mie amate clienti!

Maqaroon

Benvenuti nel colorato mondo di Maqaroon, dove i prelibati macaroon francesi si trasformano in delicati gioielli e le carismatiche dolls create dalla designer inglese Joanna Zhou, che rispecchiano il suo amore per lo stile giapponese.

Sicuramente l'oggetto simbolo del progetto Maqaroon è il bellissimo ciondolo a forma di macaroon, disponibile in tre gusti: rosa, cioccolato e te verde.

Capucine Amorosa

Ieri ho voluto confezionare due borse molto colorate ed allegre: Capucine e Amorosa. 

L'avvicinarsi della primavera mi permette di giocare e sperimentare accostamenti vivaci in tono con il cambio di stagione. 

Capucine è una deliziosa borsa creata con il tessuto giapponese Carousel Stripe White di Kayo Horaguchi che richiama il mondo delle giostre, dei cavallini e della musica. Dove l'ho presa? Ovvio dal sito inglese Fancy Moon. I toni del lilla richiamano il prato fiorito che incornicia la striscia del tessuto giapponese. 

Amorosa è una borsa molto spiritosa e vivace, creata con il tessuto giapponese Kokka Strawberry Patch. Per renderla più primaverile ho applicato un pizzo di cotone rosa. 

Davvero carine!

Yesterday I made two cute and colorful bags: Capucine and Amorosa. 

For the spring collection I can play with cheerful and kawaii fabrics. 

Capucine is a delightful bag created with the japanese fabric "White Stripe Carousel" by Kayo Horaguchi that recalls the world of the carousel, the horses and the music. Where it come from? Obvious from the online shop Fancy Moon. 

Amorosa is a very witty and lively bag, created by Japanese fabric Kokka Strawberry Patch. To make it more vernal I applied a pink cotton lace. Really cute!

Cinderella Snap Wallet

Hey! La settimana scorsa Laura mi ha commissionato di crearle un portafoglio abbastanza grande da contenere carta d'identità, patente, carte di fedeltà e tessere varie. 

Ho usato il cotone giapponese Kokka "Cinderella Lilac" (dal sito Fancy Moon) per l'esterno e le tasche, mentre per l'interno un cotone stampato. 

Di seguito ho aggiunto le foto del working progress, così da far capire come ho operato. Infine ho chiuso il portafoglio con un bottone a pressione. 

 Laura ha subito apprezzato il lavoro e i disegni sul tessuto che richiamano la favola di Cenerentola (orologi, carrozze, castelli e scarpette). 

Davvero fiabesco! 

 

Hey! 

Last week, Laura asked me to make a wallet to hold an identity card, driving license, loyalty cards and mixed cards. 

I used cotton Japanese Kokka "Lilac Cinderella" (from Fancy Moon site) to the outside and pockets, while the interior was made up of a printed cotton. Below I have added photos of the working progress, so you can understand how I worked. In the end I closed the wallet with a snap. 

Laura has been enjoyed this creation and she loves the fabric that recall the fairy tale of Cinderella (watches, cars, castles and shoes). Really fabulous!

Sakura and Odoriko

Eccomi di nuovo!

Con grande gioia vi mostro le mie prime due borse prodotte direttamente dalla mia nuova postazione inglese: Sakura e Odoriko (disponibili nel mio negozio online). 

La stoffa che ho usato per la borsa Sakura viene direttamente dal Giappone e riporta su sfondo nero i fiori di ciliegio che sfumano dal rosa al bianco. Una stoffa davvero delicata. 

Mentre per la borsa Odoriko ho unito alla stoffa sakura un pezzo di tessuto Odoriko Dancers di Alexander Henry (acquistata dal sito Fancy Moon). Il risultato è venuto molto bene perché i fiori di ciliegio ben si intonano con i motivi d'orati della stoffa con i danzatori in kimono. La collezione primaverile Fedulab sta prendendo piede.

Here I am again with my newest two bags directly created from my new English station: Sakura and Odoriko (available in my online store). 

The fabric I used for Sakura bags comes from Japan and reports on cherry blossoms where the pink shades off into white. A very delicate fabric for a nice handmade bag.

For Odoriko bag I put together the sakura's fabric with a piece Alexander Henry's Odoriko Dancers (purchased from Fancy Moon). The final result outcame very well because the cherry blossoms' fabric well suited with the Japanese dancers of the last fabric. 

The spring collection Fedulab is catching on...stay tuned.

Kawaii KoKKa neKo

Uno dei temi più ricorrenti nei tessuti giapponesi Kokka è il gatto. Quello in mio possesso è davvero carino: gattini neri alti 1,2cm su sfondo rosa antico. Me lo ha portato direttamente dal Giappone una mia cara amica Wagashi (per la serie ecco come farmi felice in due mosse). Dato che i gattini sono davvero piccoli questa stoffa è perfetta per confezionare piccole creazioni. 

Ultimamente ho fatto due morbide cover iPhone ed astucci.

One of the most frequent theme of the Japanese Kokka fabric is the cat. I've got a really cute piece of Kokka's fabric with black kittens (1.2 cm tall)on antique pink background. It was bought from Japan by my dear friend Wagashi (here is how to make me happy!). The kittens are really small and this fabric is perfect for a small creations: I made two soft covers iPhone and some cases.
We love it!

Nocturnia

Sono tornata dal mio breve soggiorno in Uk e ieri notte mi sono messa a terminare delle creazioni che avevo lasciato in sospeso.

Mi piace molto creare di notte accompagnata da una buona musica.

Verso mezzanotte ho portato a termine quattro astucci: con tessuto Día de Muertos (da Fancy Moon), con tessuto inglese Skulls'n'roses, con cotone giapponese Kokka Neko e con tessuto Kokka patchwork. Quest'ultimo sarà protagonista del prossimo giveaway.

Approposito di giveaway...state partecipando a quello di Fashion what else per vincere la deliziosa tracolla Pois Eiffel?

Infine mi sono messa a creare con i pannolenci colorati delle spille a forma di sushi usando i pregiati filati di Aurifil. Ho appurato l'abissale differenza tra l'uso di un filo medio-buono e di uno ottimo. Sarà forse per questo che questi filati sono usati nell'alta moda?

Vi mostro le foto che ho fatto ieri notte: alla faccia di chi dice che le foto di notte alle creazioni non si fanno...tipo me. Però ho fatto giusto un'eccezione.

Ultimissima cosa: oggi è il Black Friday (ovvero il giorno ufficiale in cui si iniziano a comprare i regali di natale). Per questo motivo solo oggi e domani chiunque acquisti nel negozio online riceverà uno sconto del 20%.

Hey, i'm just come back from UK and last night I finished some cute creations for my customers.

I really like to create in the night when I accompanied by good music.

Around midnight I finished four cases with Día de Muertos fabric (from Fancymoon), with English Skulls'n'roses fabric and with Kokka's cotton neko and patchwork. The latter will be lead on the next giveaway (stay tuned!).

Finally I created with soft felt some colored sushi brooches, I used the finest yarns Aurifil. I found and abysmal difference between the use of medium to good threads.

Populous - My Winter Vacation

Sushi time!

Vi ricordate il Giveaway dello scorso mese in cui avevo messo in palio delle simpatiche spille sushi e la borsa Apple? Bene, ecco le foto di Laura che ha vinto le spille sushi e devo dire che le stanno benissimo accanto ai suoi tatuaggi.

Lo scorso weekend è venuta a trovarmi a Padova la cara foodblogger Elisa Wagashi stories (che ha scritto un bellissimo post sulle favette triestine che le ho fatto scoprire). A fine mese dovrò traslocare da Padova e non ho idea di dove mettere tutte le mie stoffe, ma rimanderò la pianificazione dello spostamento la settimana prossima. Finalmente torno in Inghilterra e mi toccherà ambientarmi con la mia futura cittadina: Portsmouth!

E si... Fedulab si trasferirà in UK. Mi immagino già a imballare scatoloni pieni di stoffe da inviare via posta.

Do you remember my last Giveaway? Laura, the winner of the sushi brooches, sent me some pics with the pins. I must say that sushi brooches look great next to her tattoos.

I have relisted the delicious sushi pins (maki + nigiri) into online store: they will be an excellent gift for those people who appreciate the handmade creations and Japanese food!

At the end of this month I will move from Padua, and I have no idea where I can put all my lovely fabrics, but I will postpone this planning next week. Finally I'll come back to England and I'll have to settle with my new future town: Portsmouth!
