Love a Bear ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ

Oh yeah! I made a messenger bag shaped as a bear's muzzle. It's so cute! 

At the beginning I was a little bit dubious about the shape of the bag, for this reason I drew some sketches on my moleskine but in the end I come up with the right solution.

I applied the eye-button and the cutie ears, the nose is a snap button (to make safer the closure) and I've embroidered the mouth on it.

The polka dot beige cotton is divided from the brown one with the kawaii ribbon I love Bear from Seamstar.

Oh si! Ho finalmente creato una borsetta a tracolla a forma di musetto di orsetto. E' davvero carina (soprattutto le orecchiette)!

Inizialmente ero un po' indecisa sulla forma della borsa e sul mio moleskine ho buttato giù qualche idea, poi piano piano ho trovato una soluzione.

Ho applicato gli occhi-bottone e le orecchiette mentre il naso è in realtà un bottone a pressione, utilissimo per chiudere la borsa. Sulla patta ho poi ricamato a mano la bocca.La stoffa beige a pois bianchi è divisa da quella marrone da un nastro super kawaii Love a bear Ribbon di Seamstar.

Totoro Cover Iphone

Last week I made a cute iphone cover ispired by the most famous character of the Ghibli, I'm talking about Totoro! You know that this is one of my favorite creature and I was really happy to create a tribute about him. 

I used a grey fabric for his body and a little piece of white cotton for his tummy/pocket. In the end I added two cute felt ears and two white buttons as eyes. 

Well, I'm very satisfied of the result and I've received a lot of orders for this creation on my Bigcartel.

La settimana scorsa ho realizzato una simpatica custodia per Iphone ispirata al più famoso personaggio della famiglia Ghibli, ovviamente sto parlando di Totoro. Come sapete io sono pazza di questa creatura e ogni volta che realizzo un tributo in suo onore mi emoziono sempre. 

Per questa cover ho utilizzato del semplice cotone grigio a cui ho aggiunto la pancia/tasca in cotone bianco. Ho completato il tutto con due orecchie in feltro e due bottoni. 

Il risultato mi ha molto soddisfatto soprattutto perchè ho ricevuto parecchie richieste tramite il mio Bigcartel.

Sweet Treats Cupcakes family

Quante cose si possono creare da un singolo pezzo di stoffa?

A mio parere tante! In questo post vi mostro cosa sono riuscita a creare con il tessuto "Sweet Treats Cupcakes" disegnato da Michael Miller e che ho acquistato nel negozio online inglese Nelaro Fabrics (eBay).

Partendo dal presupposto che il tessuto è davvero molto bello e primaverile, ho potuto creare vari oggetti e soddisfare le richieste personalizzate delle mie clienti. 

Con la stoffa cupcake ho creato un porta iPad 2, un simpatico astuccio (trousse) e la borsa Delicia (sold out nel mio negozio online!). 

Fino a qui tutte cose normali, finché un'infermiera pediatrica mi ha domandato se potevo crearle una cuffia da indossare in ospedale...e così è nata la cuffia cupcake! Sicuramente i bambini in ospedale la troveranno più simpatica e magari si faranno fare le punture con più serenità. 

 

How many things can be created from a single yard of fabric? 

I think a lot and in this post I will show you what I created with the fabric "Sweet Treats Cupcakes" designed by Michael Miller and purchased from the Nelaro Fabrics online store (eBay). 

The fabric is really nice and cute so I made various objects and I met the demands of my own clients. With "Sweet Treats Cupcakes" I created a cute iPad 2 case (sleeve), a nice zippered case (cosmetic bag) and the tote bag Delicia (sold out on my estore!). 

Finally I created an unusual thing: a pediatric nurse asked me if I could create a scrub hat to wear in the hospital ... and so I made the cupcake scrub hat! Surely children in the hospital will find it funny.

Tutorial: diy brooch packaging

Dopo avervi mostrato le ultime spille che ho creato, oggi vi propongo un piccolo tutorial sul come realizzare dei simpatici packaging per confezionare piccoli oggetti, io ad esempio ho impacchettato delle spille che ho spedito alle mie clienti. 

Per formare le confezioni ho utilizzato dei ritagli di stoffa, carta, un foglio di plastica e del filo. 

Mi è subito piaciuto questo packaging perché permette di creare un simpatico contenitore e consente di riutilizzare i vostri ritagli di stoffa e carta/cartone. 

- Prima di tutto sistemate il tessuto tra la carta e il foglio di plastica 

- Selezionate il punto zig-zag e iniziate a cucire assieme gli strati. 

- Cucite i primi tre lati e al quarto inserite la spilla in modo da chiuderla. 

- Rifinite il bordo del packaging ritagliando l'eccesso. 

...e voilà! Ora non resta che divertirsi e scartare la spilla ^_^

After the post a little while ago about my latest brooches, today I'd go with one small tutorial for a nice packaging for brooches, that I sent to my customers.
I used scraps of fabrics, paper, a plastic sheet and the thread. I immediately liked this packaging because it's easy and looks rally effective!

- First, place the fabric between paper and plastic sheet
- Select the zigzag stitch and start sewing the layers together.
- Sew the three sides and on the fourth put the pin and close it.
- Now cut the excess of packaging.

and ... voila! Now you just have fun and discard the badge ^ _ ^

Delicia

Finalmente è venerdì ed ecco a voi la borsa Delicia. 

Dopo un po' di mesi sono tornata a proporre una borsa con il tema dei pasticcini e dei cupcakes. Ho usato il tessuto "Happy Cupcakes" di Micheal Miller a sfondo rosa e subito ha avuto successo! 

Per renderla ancora più deliziosa ho aggiunto anche una fiocco (staccabile come una spilla) nello stesso tessuto.

Appena avrò tempo mi metterò a fare delle cover iPad e degli astucci con questo cotone kawaii, nel frattempo andate a fare un giro nel mio negozio online dove ho aggiunto le ultime novità www.fedulab.bigcartel.com

Finally it's Friday and here is the cute bag Delicia. I used the fabric "Happy Cupcakes" by Michael Miller in pink background to make this kawaii cupcakes bag and I added a bow/brooch in the same fabric.

OMG sono stata lulibunnyzzata insieme alla mia macchina da cucire e al mio gufetto! 

Tranquilli non è niente di pericoloso anzi ho avuto l'onore di essere disegnata dalla bravissima illustratrice argentina Lucila, in arte Luli Bunny. 

Oggi Luli Bunny è conosciuta a livello internazionale grazie alla serie delle bellissime mini dolls "Book club" realizzate per Momiji (Danielle, Phoebe, Alex, Eve, Enid e Clarice), inoltre Luli collabora per Pictoplasma e con Majo Lucero ha dato vita ai simpatici personaggi di Pon Pon Bunnies.

Ho adorato fin da subito il suo stile colorato e allegro, animato da simpatici personaggi come Mr Toastman e Ebenezer Bigfoot affiancati da animaletti kawaii tra cui coniglietti e gatti.

OMG I've been lulibunnyzed with my sewing machine and my cute owl infact I had the precious honor of being drawn by the great illustrator argentine Lucila, aka Luli Bunny. 

Luli Bunny is internationally known with the cute and geek Book Club doll collection (Danielle, Phoebe, Alex, Eve, Enid and Clarice) designed for Momiji. Luli works with Pictoplasma and with Majo Lucero have made up to cute characters Pon Pon Bunnies. 

I fall in love with her colorful and cheerful style, animated by friendly characters like Mr. Toastman and Ebenezer Bigfoot together with the kawaii animals like rabbits, bears and cats.

La scorsa settimana sono andata dal mio stoffaio di fiducia e sono rimasta particolarmente colpita nel trovare tante stoffe col tema del cupcake. Avrei voluto acquistarle tutte ma alla fine ne ho presa una e a breve vedrete quale! 

Intanto guardate che meravigliose stoffe ho selezionato per voi!

Capucine Amorosa

Ieri ho voluto confezionare due borse molto colorate ed allegre: Capucine e Amorosa. 

L'avvicinarsi della primavera mi permette di giocare e sperimentare accostamenti vivaci in tono con il cambio di stagione. 

Capucine è una deliziosa borsa creata con il tessuto giapponese Carousel Stripe White di Kayo Horaguchi che richiama il mondo delle giostre, dei cavallini e della musica. Dove l'ho presa? Ovvio dal sito inglese Fancy Moon. I toni del lilla richiamano il prato fiorito che incornicia la striscia del tessuto giapponese. 

Amorosa è una borsa molto spiritosa e vivace, creata con il tessuto giapponese Kokka Strawberry Patch. Per renderla più primaverile ho applicato un pizzo di cotone rosa. 

Davvero carine!

Yesterday I made two cute and colorful bags: Capucine and Amorosa. 

For the spring collection I can play with cheerful and kawaii fabrics. 

Capucine is a delightful bag created with the japanese fabric "White Stripe Carousel" by Kayo Horaguchi that recalls the world of the carousel, the horses and the music. Where it come from? Obvious from the online shop Fancy Moon. 

Amorosa is a very witty and lively bag, created by Japanese fabric Kokka Strawberry Patch. To make it more vernal I applied a pink cotton lace. Really cute!

Cinderella Snap Wallet

Hey! La settimana scorsa Laura mi ha commissionato di crearle un portafoglio abbastanza grande da contenere carta d'identità, patente, carte di fedeltà e tessere varie. 

Ho usato il cotone giapponese Kokka "Cinderella Lilac" (dal sito Fancy Moon) per l'esterno e le tasche, mentre per l'interno un cotone stampato. 

Di seguito ho aggiunto le foto del working progress, così da far capire come ho operato. Infine ho chiuso il portafoglio con un bottone a pressione. 

 Laura ha subito apprezzato il lavoro e i disegni sul tessuto che richiamano la favola di Cenerentola (orologi, carrozze, castelli e scarpette). 

Davvero fiabesco! 

 

Hey! 

Last week, Laura asked me to make a wallet to hold an identity card, driving license, loyalty cards and mixed cards. 

I used cotton Japanese Kokka "Lilac Cinderella" (from Fancy Moon site) to the outside and pockets, while the interior was made up of a printed cotton. Below I have added photos of the working progress, so you can understand how I worked. In the end I closed the wallet with a snap. 

Laura has been enjoyed this creation and she loves the fabric that recall the fairy tale of Cinderella (watches, cars, castles and shoes). Really fabulous!
