Happy customers September

It's always nice to hear from satisfied customers and that's why I love sharing their pictures with you.

Let's start with Noemi from Manchester, a very berry girl! She fell in love with Axeline handbag because it's full of strawberries and she look really chic.
   
Suzan from Apeldoorn (Belgium) loves everything connected with Marimekko but she also like the handy bags. For this reason I've created a special messenger bag with original Unikko Mini fabric from Marimekko. Now she can put everything in this bag and take it with her also on a flying bridge!
 
Probably I'll start a new project: my first Fedulab. Basically I would like to create some little bags for children and young ladies like Aurora. She loves this petite messenger bag and I can assure you she brings her red bag everywhere. Lovely Aurora.

Now it's the turn of Alba, an amazing Spanish girl who lives in Southsea (exactly 400m far from my house hihihi). With the Veggie handbag was love at the first sight! I was really pleased that she brought Veggie at the Garlic Festival on the Isle of Wight.

I'm writing you while I am looking at my new precious fabrics received from the online shop Nelaro, where I usually discover the most trendy cottons. 

I really needed new materials to make new creations for this summer and for the future markets.

Mentre vi scrivo per informarvi dei nuovi arrivi non riesco a fare a meno di fissare le bellissime stoffe che mi sono giunte dal negozio online Nelaro, dove puntualmente trovo le stoffe più trendy del momento. 

Avevo proprio bisogno di nuovi cotoni per ossigenare la mia creatività e soprattutto perché a breve parteciperò a dei mercatini estivi, quindi devo confezionare nuove creazioni.

Blythe retro party dresses

Rieccomi! 

Un po' alla volta posterò tutte le creazioni che ho preparato in queste settimane. 

Oggi vi mostro uno dei miei ultimi esperimenti ovvero degli abitini da cocktail per Blythe. Conoscete la Blythe Doll? In breve si tratta di una bambola inventata negli anni '70 ma che è ritornata di moda negli ultimi anni. La sua particolarità risiede nelle infinite varianti che può assumere, infatti si possono modificare a piacere taglio di capelli, lunghezza, colore di capelli e di occhi. 

Mi sono ispirata agli abiti da cocktail tipici degli anni '50, caratterizzati da un'ampia gonna e vita alta. 

Il primo modello è realizzato con un tessuto a quadretti bianco e rosso a cui ho applicato in vita dei fiorellini. 

Per il secondo invece ho scelto un pezzo di stoffa Sakura, con cui ho realizzato anche la borsa Sakura. 

La modella ufficiale del mio esperimento micro-sartoriale è Ortensia, la bambola di Patty e a cui va il merito delle belle foto per questo post.

 

Fedulab is back!

During this week I will post all the creations I made a couple of weeks ago. Today I want to show you one of my recent experiment: two retro party dresses for Blythe. 

Do you know who is the Blythe Doll? In short it is a doll created in the 70s and recentely has been in vogue. Its particularity is the infinite variations which you can obtain just changing its hairstyle, length, color of hair and eyes. 

I was inspired by the typical '50s cocktail dresses, characterized by a high waist and wide skirt. 

The first model is made with a red and white checkered fabric and I applied on the waist some flowers. 

For the second one I chose a piece of Sakura fabric, with which I also made the bag Sakura. 

The official model of my experiment in micro-tailoring is Ortensia, the Patty's doll and she has taken these handsome pictures for my blog.

Classy owls smoke pipes

Dopo un gennaio passato tra alti e bassi ritorno in pista con le nuove borse della stagione primaverili.

Stamattina ho fatto qualche bozza per le nuove borse e tra i vari progetti ho realizzato questa:

CLASSY OWLS SMOKE PIPE

La borsa è caratterizzata dalla presenza di questo gufo estremamente raffinato che fuma la sua pipa. Per il corpo del gufo ho usato un tessuto di tapezzeria a motivo floreale. Da sempre mi piacciono le immagini dei gufi con la pipa. La borsa è disponibile nel negozio online.

The bag is characterized by the presence of this classy smoking owl. For the body of the owl I used a fabric with floral motive. I always like pictures of owls with the pipe. The bag is available in the online store.
