Weekend Break in Cornwall
Ottima compagnia, cielo sereno, cream tea e tanta natura. Che si deve volere di più?

I have spent a wonderful weekend in Cornwall and I have to admit that it is a really nice place to visit.
Looe, Polperro, Boscastle and Tintagel are the towns we reached with a couple of friends during the weekend.
Obviously I have tasted the original cornish cream tea...so yummy!

Highlight of the year
Looking back, this past year in Uk has been especially challenging for me: moving in a new country, learning English, getting used to new habit and finding a job.
There were times when I wondered if the effort was worth this, but the answer was and is always one, YES YES YES.
Now it's time to move (again) and the 2013 will start with a new house, a new sewing machine (loooooove!), a new city...and a new job as well! You know, the end of December is the perfect time of the year to reflect on the the memories and laughter of 2012.
Here you are what I had:

I wish you a great 2013 ^__^

Sweet disposition
(Scroll down for the Italian version)
It has been a long time since the last time I wrote here..awww!
In the last post I mentioned my mum's surgery at her head, honestly everything seems to be going well for the relief of my family.
During this month in Italy I didn't create anything (sight!) due to my "business" as housekeeper but I missed so much my sewing machine and all my fabrics.
Besides cleaning my family's house and taking care of my mum I've enjoyed the bright sun on the Lake Como during the fall, the scent of the rain on the mountain and cuddling my animals.
Now I'm back in my sweet house in Portsmouth but another great changing is waiting for us. At the end of the year we are going to move in a new gracious flat in Guildford, aproximately 75 km far from here. The point is that we are going to start over a new adventure, new routine, new friends and go on...but it's life. Sometimes I fell scared about this, but life is short and we have to maximise our experiences and take everything in a positive way ;)
Happy monday!

Buon lunedì a tutti!

The last day of summer in Brighton
Brighton! I've never been there before and I really liked this town with the Pier, the seaside, grand buildings and the Lanes because it doesn't look like a classical English town.
There was a perfect weather, warm, bright, but with a cool breeze to keep things dry, we called it the last day of summer, in fact while I'm writing it's raining outside...welcome Autumn!

A place to play with sewing and stitch: Clothkits
Hello! This week has been really busy, a lot of news and changes are coming.
Yesterday I had the honour to visit one of the most creative space for the fabricaholics and crafters based in the south of the England: the Clothkits shop in Chichester.
I've passed a wonderful morning in the shop and I've talked with Kay, the currently owner of Clothkits. She explained me why she bought the brand and how Clothkits looks at the future. "The secret - she said - is a simply mixture between innovations and traditions. We will never forget the strong heritage we have inherited and everyday we improve our creativity".
Since 2007 the famous company specialized in sew-it-yourself kits has teamed up with London-based Rob Ryan and Brighton designer Jane Foster to make new excited desings.
The next weeks Clothkits will move in a new and bigger space with the possibility to organise more and more workshops, awesome!
Well, I have definitely spent a very nice morning. Take a look at the Clothkits website http://www.clothkits.co.uk/
Hey!

Fall in love with the Highlands
Hi! I'm just come back from my amazing holiday in the Scottish highlands.
I spent the last 10 days in the scenic beauty of this part of the Scotland. I travelled by car and then we went for a walk around in search of a good place to put up our tents.
Now I'm a little nostalgic for all the beautiful places I visited. For example Ardnamunchan, Sanna Bay, Portuairk and Glencoe...
Now I miss the bright sun shiny days, the ocean, the seals from a colony near Dunvengan, the castles...the Highlands!
You can see below few pictures from my holiday but soon as possible I'll upload new pictures.

Spring at Arundel
A couple of weeks ago I visited Arundel, a lovely medieval town located in the West Sussex.
The main attraction is the ancient Arundel Castle composed by high towers and strong walls.
Among all the beautifull things to see I appreciated the formal english garden filled with flowers (tulips explosion), fountains, pergola and green oak obelisks.
The weather was perfect: a mild climate with a pleasant wind.
One of the oldest part of buildings is the Fitzalan Chapel containing the tombs of the Arundel Dukes since the XV centuries and it is still the burial place of the Dukes of Norfolk.
At the end I found a nice shop in Arundel city centre: a cute fabrics shop (so predictable).
