Perfect party dress workshop

Hello people! Have you seen the magnificent vintage party dress just below?
Well I made it last week when I attended at the "Perfect Party Dress Workshop (Vintage Style)" held in Chichester at Clothkits. 
 I am very proud of my new polka dots party dress, now I have to wait the following christmas parties :) Professional finish and a perfect fit: Yeah! Hey! Avete visto il bellissimo abito ispirato allo stile vintage qui sopra? Bhe la sottoscritta l'ha cucito la settimana scorsa durante il workshop "Perfect party dress" al negozio Clothkits di Chichester.
Posso dire di essere molto soddisfatta dell'esecuzione e ora non mi resta che attendere l'arrivo delle feste natalizie per indossarlo. Come diceva la sarta appena l'ha visto: finitura professionale e misura perfetta. YEAH!

July's new arrivals from Seamstar

In my opinion the month of July is one of the most fruitful during the year because everybody is looking for something original and colourful as are my handbags.

For this reason I chose some lovely fat quarters from the site Seamstar and I'm ready to use these beauties for my creation.

Here you can see:

- Pac Man by Timeless Treasures: a great print for those who love old school video games

- Shards by Heather Moore: the designer has played with the plane geometry of the trilateral shape

- Birdcage by Dear Stella: a fat quarter with the classic regency pattern of the birds and their cage

and

-Folklorico Los Novios + Corazones Hearts by Alexander Henry: they are definately my favorite ones because I am a big fan of Alexander Henry and their collection inspired by the popular Mexican culture of Santa Muerte is simply beautiful. With Corazones Hearts I made the messenger bag Leticia and I'm really sorry to say that it's already sold on my estore.

Sono davvero convinta che Luglio sia per me uno dei mesi più proficui dell'anno perchè tutti sono alla ricerca di qualche accessorio colorato e inusuale, magari proprio come le mie borse.

Per questa ragione ho scelto dei nuovi colorati fat quarters dalla collezione di Seamstar e sono pronta a usarli per fare qualcosa di speciale.

- Shards di Heather Moore: qui la designer ha giocato con la geometria della figura a tre punte

- Birdcage di Dear Stella: un fat quarter con il classico motivo del periodo "reggenza" inglese degli uccellini e delle loro gabbie

- Folklorico Los Novios + Corazones Hearts di Alexander Henry: questi sono assolutamente i miei preferiti in quanto adoro Alexander Henry ed inoltre la loro collezione ispirata alla cultura popolare messicana della Santa Muerte è davvero bella. Con la stoffa con i cuori sacri ho realizzato la borsetta a tracolla Leticia ma aimè è già andata a ruba nel mio negozio online.

Just a saturday before Easter

Love Southsea Sunday Market and a cup of tea from the vintage tea room

Il "Love Sunday Market" si tiene la prima domenica di ogni mese presso il porto antico di Portsmouth, così quest'oggi ho convinto Alba e Riccardo a fare un giro al mercatino dell'artigianato locale. 

Un bel sole scaldava la "Square tower" dove erano collocati dei simpatici stand che vendevano sia oggetti vintage che handmade. Il mercatino si estendeva anche all'interno della torre del porto dove numerosi altri artigiani vendevano i propri prodotti. 

Una sala del pian terreno della torre è stato adibita a tea room, e per la precisione si trattava di una tea room non proprio convenzionale: le tazze e le teiere erano tutte diverse, ogni tavolo era addobbato con giochi, riviste e oggetti vintage. 

Io vado matta per queste cose! 

Nella tea room si respirava un'atmosfera molto amichevole e soprattutto il te con i dolcetti erano deliziosi. Dopo esserci riscaldati col te abbiamo approfittato del bel tempo primaverile per fare un giretto all'aperto mentre le inglesi evidentemente percepiscono il clima mite come estivo. ahahha! 

 

Today Alba, Riccardo and I went to the ‘Love Southsea’ Sunday Market. This market takes place at the Square Tower in the Old Portsmouth on the First Sunday in the Month and supports the local businesses and crafters (check out the site http://www.lovesouthsea.co.uk/). 

We have found many stands that offered a lot of handmade and colorful stuff like pillows, cases, necklaces and decorations. There is a lovely, great and vintage tea room inside the tower and we have a pot of tea and slice of tasty cake.

I love this place 'cause each cup is different and each table is decorated differently with vintage games, magazines and cute objects. In the tea room the atmosphere was friendly and the the pastries were delicious. 

After drinking tea we make a walk on the beach(taking advantage of the beautiful sunny day).

LIBERTY CIRCUS vuole essere una borsa retrò e il soggetto del circo vintage è ben abbinato.

HONEY CUCKOO BEE è spiritosa e soprattutto sdolcinata. Ho abbinato una stoffa con delle teiere a una con delle laborosie api e il risultato è questo!
HONEY CUCKOO BEE is a funny and saccharine bag. I combined a teapots fabric with a honey-bees cotton and this is the result!

E per ultima la borsa LULI tributo alla grandiosa disegnatrice argentina Luli Bunny (leggete il post che ho scritto su di lei!). Ho disegnato sulla borsa un suo personaggio e al posto delle guance ho messo due bottoncini rossi.
LULI is a tribute bag I made for the lovely and talented character designer Luli Bunny (read the previous article about her). I draw on the bag one of her special rabbit character and I used two re buttons for its cheeks.

Sono alle strette con i miei ultimi due esami che si svolgeranno simpaticamente il 31 maggio e 1 giugno e il tempo per creare cose nuove scarseggia.

Ma allo stesso tempo non c'è cosa più bella che ricevere le foto dalle mie clienti.
