Graduation day

Finalmente posso mettere la parola fine al mio capitolo universitario: lunedì mi sono laureata a Ca' Foscari.

Mi sono divertita tantissimo in compagnia delle amiche che mi hanno accompagnato prima a Venezia e poi con tutti gli amici che mi aspettavano a Padova alla festa. 

Devo essere sincera: appena uscita dall'aula della discussione mi sono emozionata (vedi ultima foto) ma dopo essermi scolata mezza bottiglia d'acqua siamo stati in giro a festeggiare. 

Il voto? Non lo vedete scritto sulla fronte? hihi 

Insomma è stato molto bello ed anche se mancavano alla mia laurea due care persone, sentivo vicino a me la loro presenza. 

E ora comincia il bello! ^_^

 

Now I can finally write "the end" on my university chapter: last Monday I graduated at Ca 'Foscari of Venice (Italy). 

I had lots of fun with my friends during the day in Venice and at the party-night in Padova. I must be honest: just out of the classroom discussion I was touched (see last photo) but after a while we were around Venice to celebrate the day. 

The vote? Don't you see it written my foreheads? hihi (110/110) It was a very nice day and although I missed two dear people at my party, I could feel their presence near me. 

And now the fun begins... ^_^

Awesome Citoyennes de Berlin

Appena ho visto il negozio online della giovane designer berlinese Andrea è stato amore a prima vista. Così mi sono interessata ai suoi lavori e sono diventata una vera fan delle creazioni Citoyennes de Berlin. Andrea ama rielaborare grafiche vintage anni Sessanta (vedi gli adesivi con la mela) e anche i temi floreali (ispirati alla pittura nordica settecentesca). Il mio preferito in assoluto rimane il tema dell'uccellino sulla spilla e non vedo l'ora di appendere in casa le tre cartoline con il cerbiatto con le ali, il pettirosso e la lepre con papillon. Nelle foto si vede solo una piccola selezione dei suoi oggetti, vi consiglio di visitare il suo blog per respirare un po' di fresca aria berlinese e ammirare tutti suoi lavori.

Andrea is a Berlin-based young designer and owner of a cool lil-brand Citoyennes de Berlin. I'm interested in her artworks and I'm very fond of Citoyennes de Berlin's creations . Andrea loves vintage sixties graphic (see the stickers with the apple) and even the floral theme (such of the eighteenth century). My absolute favorite subject is the bird on the brooch and I can't wait to hang at home the three postcards with winged deer, the robin and the hare with a bow tie. I recommend you visit her blog to breathing the fresh air of Berlin.

Marimekko Stuff from Koti DesignHouse

Era da tantissimo tempo che sognavo di usare le stoffe Marimekko per le mie creazioni, poi un giorno scopro che esiste il negozio online di Koti DesignHouse e i sogni diventano realtà.

A Perugia Angela e Riccardo hanno aperto da poco più di un anno il negozio Koti specializzato nella vendita di complementi d'arredo del miglior design scandinavo e parallelamente gestiscono in modo impeccabile anche il negozio online.

Marimekko, Iittala e Tonfisk sono solo alcuni brand a cui Koti si affida per la scelta dei prodotti quali tazze, piatti, lampade, tessuti e giochi.

Sul sito tra le varie categorie disponibili ovviamente mi sono persa nella sezione tessuti Marimekko di cui hanno una bella e fornita scelta.

Una volta formalizzato l'ordine mi sono trovata benissimo con la spedizione: in pochi giorni il corriere mi ha consegnato il prezioso pacchetto blu ed ora sono qui a mostrarvi il contenuto in tutta la sua bellezza.

Che ne dite? Sono stupende e non vedo l'ora di utilizzarle.

I fall in love with Marimekko's fabrics and I was really excited when I received the blue package at home.

Three Mustache scarf

Brrr...siamo a novembre e giustamente si inizia a sentire quel freddino tale per cui se non hai una giacca e una sciarpa non puoi uscire. Il momento buono per realizzare delle sciarpe arriva quando mi giunge voce che la maggior parte dei miei amici inizia ad accusare sintomi influenzali.

Così seguendo la "domanda di mercato" ho preparato delle sciarpe di colore rosso a cui ho applicato tre baffi al fondo. All'estremo opposto della sciarpa ho invece cucito un cuore rosa di peluche in cui ho inserito la mia firma dipinta a mano.

Mi piace molto questa sciarpa spiritosa e l'ho chiamata semplicemente

Winter here we come! You can't go out without wearing a scarf and a jacket.

A good time to make scarves comes when my friends starting to be sick, I simply followed the "market demand" and I made the red scarves with three mustache applied to the bottom. At the opposite end of the scarf I hand stitched a cute pink heart where I put my hand-painted signature.

I really like this scarf and it's called Three Mustache.

Oggi vi parlo del sito Banana Craft che per me rappresenta una lettura obbligatoria tutti i giorni.

Daniele Sinhorelli è l'animatrice di questo vivace sito brasiliano specializzato nell'handmade e nelle creazioni indie.

Dani raccoglie personalmente idee e immagini dal web per metterle a disposizione della comunity internazionale di Banana Craft: ogni giorno si pubblicano post di progetti, di tutorial, di creazioni e di manifestazioni dedicate all'artigianato.

Ho avuto l'onore di essere ospitata con le mie creazioni una decina di volte (l'ultima il 30 ottobre link) su Banana Craft; questo mi ha permesso di essere apprezzata da tante craft-bloggers brasiliane e di avere un gran numero di visite internazionali ogni volta che Dani evidenzia un mio lavoro.

Se il portoghese è un problema...c'è sempre il tasto "traduci"... ma poi le immagini parlano da sole.

Daniel Sinhorelli is the creator of this sparkling Brazilian site devoted to handmade and indie creations or artisans.

Dani collects personally ideas and images from the web to make them available to the international comunity of Banana Craft: every day she hosts projects and tutorials, creations and events dedicated to the craft world.

I was honored to be hosted with my creations many times on Banana Craft (the last on October 30 link) and these chances has allowed me to be appreciated by many Brazilian and international craft-bloggers.

If the Portuguese language is a problem there is always the "translate" option ... but I think the images speak for themselves!

DIY paper tags + threads

Nooo, la settimana scorsa ho finito tutti i cartellini del Fedulab da attaccare alle creazioni di stoffa. La voglia di mettermi a lavorare con Adobe per creare nuovi formati era pari a zero. Perchè non arrangiarmi da sola?
Ho ritagliato il cartoncino fibrato bordeaux e la carta marroncina, li ho sovrapposti e infine cuciti a macchina con il filo a tratto zig-zag.
Per ultimo con un semplice pennarello ho firmato tutti i cartellini.
Ecco il risultato, che ve ne pare?



Gosh! Last week I finished all the paper tags of Fedulab to put on my handmade fabric creations. I didn't want to make the new design with Adobe and so I decided to create something special by myself.
I cut purple cardboard and brown paper, I lay them one upon the other and then I drew the outline with the threads of my sewing machine.
Finally I wrote my signature with a color pen.

All my Yellow's addiction (November's Fav)

Chi dice che il giallo è un colore che si porta solo nei periodi estivi si sbaglia di grosso. Ho fatto una selezione di capi d'abbigliamento (cardigan, collant e cappotti) di color giallo, ocra e mostarda per dimostrare il contrario. Credo infatti che indossare un capo di questo colore dia un tocco solare a queste giornate fredde e grigie, oltre che a essere molto raffinato.
